A. Although I started out with straight blond hair, the older I get the darker and curlier it is. Now people tell me it's black, except the grey parts--in my mental image of myself it's light brown with blond streaks. Very strange.

A. No, I don't think so. I'd probably stop and gawk for a moment out of sheer surprise, and then likely get out of my car to walk with you for a while.

A. This is a tough one. I don't play any, and I only watch tennis extremely rarely.

A. I'm a very flexible person. I can be either pessimistic or optimistic on any given day. It depends largely on my mood and the attitudes of those around me (I tend to try to balance things out).

A. The death of Gus the Big Mean Bunny, my late husband.

A. Intelligent. I think it was Colorado Springs where we first met? Or was it San Diego? But I do remember first noticing you in a panel and thinking how well-spoken you were.

A. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to get you into my car. But I'd pull over and say hi, and if it turned out you could use a ride, I'd offer a hand in arranging one. Or, if I were walking (which is about as likely as the assumption that I'm driving, really), I'd walk with you.

I think the question about the worst thing that happened is good, because occasional (not constant!) reminders that people we know have had horrible things happen, and are yet good, happy, stable people in the now, is good for all of us.
Debt is the one thing I feel stupid about. :(
I like it that you think I'm smooth, thanks! I've gotten a lot of negative messages at work (new boss, we are both having to work hard to get our communication styles to mesh) so it's very nice to get a compliment.

I do drink on occasion, mostly dark beers: Murphy's Stout or in a pinch Guinness. Very rarely I'll drink liquor, in those circumstances I usually drink gin and tonic. Coffee is much more my drink of preference, leaded please.

There is both a town (of about 200 people) called Killarney and nearby, a Provincial Park of the same name, and I consider both my second home. Our family went camping for two weeks every summer, and that's where we went. I know every path, every rock, every mood that park has. It's where we scattered Gus' ashes, and where mine will go when my time comes. I love that place.

Hee, a bit too much a fan-boy, I think. :) Everyone thinks that, especially when they hear my sister's name is Tara. I never watched Buffy or Angel (although I do love my Firefly). I named her for the actual tree, really. It's one of my favourites, and the name just sounds so nice.
Not many folks have a spare ramp laying around. Sharing lemonade and a chat on your patio sounds lovely.
My father suffered a brain aneurysm about fifteen or sixteen years ago, which left him with both mental and physical deficits. On top of that, he had his left leg above the knee amputated last Christmas due to a circulatory disease, so he spends much of his time in a wheelchair. He can get around with a walker (very slowly), and we do have a removable ramp for the back porch for him. But he's also a very, very stubborn man and insists on using his walker to get out of the house. We couldn't have him use the walker on the ramp (too unstable) so it's just folded in the garage now.
If I was paying better attention, I'd probably know this already but what are you going to grad school to study? Writing?
I'm just about to graduate (in April) with a BA in Rhetoric and Professional Writing, and last month I was invited to apply (!) to graduate studies at my university. They have a Master's in Rhetoric and Communication Design, offered in co-op, that caught my eye. I actually handed in my application the morning before I left for Las Vegas. I still don't know whether or not I'm accepted, though. That may take another month or two.
If you felt like some time, I would be interested in knowing what makes the terms constitute for you?
I think I'm going to let this one simmer a bit in the back of my brain, and probably make a post about it. I'm currently in the university library, waiting for my last class of the day to start, and I have a feeling that if I let myself get into it right now, I'll be late to class. :)

it's cool. it doesn't bother me to talk about. I say "I guess" mostly 'cause it's hard to pick. I think it's what an outside observer would pick, but when asked the question, the first thing that comes into my mind is either "years 4 through 17" or "my brothers" - which is weird 'cause i loved my brothers, but that's complicated. anyway :)

Do they get along?
they are funny. I still don't leave them alone together, but the cats seem to think he's a strange cat. They've started trying to nibble on what he nibbles on, then they stare at it like "why is that cat trying to eat that stick?" or whatever. And the bunny seems to like them well enough, but he knows he's in charge and smacks them if they touch him. So, I don't know. They won't be here that much longer, or I'd try harder to bond them. When I get cats of my own, I'll try to bond them.

not at all :) it's a pretty bland story, though. My bf and I were letting a "friend" live w/ us for free so she didn't have to drop out of college. she tortured us for months until we asked her to move out. at that point, she physically attacked us (in our home) and we were all three arrested for assault. the charges were dropped the next day

No worries, I'm not all that good at keeping up on my Livejournal reading. I've been arrested a few times doing civil disobedience. In one case, I got arrested protesting the lack of well-maintained lifts on buses (This was maybe 25, 30 years ago) At the time there was a yearly public transit convention for municipal transit agencies. At this time the convention was in San Francisco, so we blocked the cable cars in protest. I stayed overnight in jail that time. Another time we were protesting state budget cuts for disability services. That time all I did was be part of a group that was sitting outside the governor's office. The governor decided to start arresting us all.
