The 21st of February is my 51st birthday. With everything that's been going, hell *is* going on, I'm not sure I'll be interested in celebrating, but [personal profile] loracs asked me what I wanted to do. It occurred to me, I have no idea. I thought it might be fun to ask you all. What should I do for my birthday?

I'm not much of a party person. I love music, theater, movies, books, food etc. So, is there anything fun, new, different happening on my birthday that I might enjoy? I figure, even if I don't celebrate this year. I should end up with a list of stuff to try, see, visit, any ideas?

There were 2 things that I wanted to do for my birthday but we were too broke: go see Ka and pig out at my favorite sushi restaurant. We may yet get to do these and the actual day isn't important--I usually avoid restaurants on that day.

What haven't you done that you want to do?

Maureen

I'm in your position really. The things I probably would love to do are way out of my price range right now. I do love Cirque du Soleil I saw Guidam a bunch of times and if Spamalot hadn't been playing when I was in Vegas last I would've gone to see at least one of the five or six Cirque du Soleil shows there.

I'd love to go to another country for my birthday or have orgy in my honor (joking, I'm almost certain that the orgy in my head would be much less humiliating and embarrassing than the real thing). :-)

I wouldn't mind going to New Orleans again. Anyway, I mostly started this as a conversation starter.

And it has worked well as a conversation starter. Also, I made reservations for Ka--thanks for the reminder.

Why don't you bring New Orleans to you? Meet in a place that reminds you of NOLA and enhance it with friends bringing food/clothing/music/whatever.
