My weekend

I sat out soaking up the sun Saturday afternoon. While I waited for [livejournal.com profile] serenejournal to arrive. She got here a little later than expected. So we only got a little smooching in before we had to leave for the Englander (a local sports Pub) for the see [livejournal.com profile] serenejournal get-together. A few of the attendees were: [livejournal.com profile] the_ogre, [livejournal.com profile] 7patches, [livejournal.com profile] alanbostick with his partners Debbie and D, [livejournal.com profile] firecat and her partner Aahz, [livejournal.com profile] pyrzqxgl, Steve Pope, Paula I-don't-know-her-last-name, her partner? And Li, a real cutie who I just met that day.

I'm told and I must believe people. That everyone had a good time. I got to have a grilled cheese and crab sandwich with a Murphy's Stout. So I was happy. Except for talking to Li and [livejournal.com profile] the_ogre, I didn't get to talk much with anyone I didn't already know pretty well. Which is my fault and I really want to correct my ability to mangle in a crowd.

Many of the attendees also wanted to get to barbecue at [livejournal.com profile] rjmwell's too. So things started to break up. [livejournal.com profile] serenejournal and I got back home around 5. I tried to stay up for a few more hours because once we go to bed, we tend to stay there till morning. Unfortunately, I'm weak and landed in bed fairly soon after we got home.

After a remarkably good time, [livejournal.com profile] serenejournal got me out of bed for a while. We ate leftovers and watched Dark Angel on DVD. We got to sleep early, because [livejournal.com profile] serenejournal was pretty wore out by this time. Sunday, she had pancakes with [livejournal.com profile] firecat and Aahz, while I caught up on some e-mail and watched the rest of Dark Angel. Carol, Betty and I took [livejournal.com profile] serenejournal to a local restaurant after she got back home. We were able to spend a few moments alone after the restaurant and then [livejournal.com profile] serenejournal headed back to San Diego.

As I get closer in more secure with [livejournal.com profile] serenejournal he gets more and more comfortable to be with her and harder when she leaves. I had no idea how wonderful and agonizing a LDR can be. It is completely and utterly worth it, but isn't for wimps.
