The 5000 Question Survey 2.0 part 3

101. What does happiness/joy feel like physically?

I guess I feel light and energetic. Generally on the verge of laughter.

102. List five people you love starting with the one you love the absolute most.

I'm not playing the hierarchy game, in no particular order.

A [personal profile] loracs

B [personal profile] serenejournal

C My blood family.

103. How many movies have you gone to see this month?

I've been pathetically bad about watching movies these days. This month I think I've seen one movie in the theater. If you count DVDs you could probably increase that number by 11 or 12.

104. If you could have 3 wishes...but none of them could be for yourself, what would you wish for?

I suppose world peace (I only worry because these "three wish" stories always end up badly and I'd hate not to be able to fight against injustice even with the use of violence). Then my next two are everybody gets enough to eat and no one can have children unless both potential parents want to.

105. In what ways do you relax and de-stress when you are really tense?

Have sex, talk it out, listen to loud music, kill monsters online, or take a walk.

106. How much money would it take to get you to drive to school naked in the springtime and get out of the car?

As much as I can get :-) I don't have any particular problem with going naked, but if I can make some money at it why not a lot of money?

107. Have you ever killed an animal?

Yes, if not literally figuratively. I decided to put my dog Klipper to sleep when he got sick. His head was in my arms when he died. Since I am a meat eater, I have killed thousands of animals. I don't have any particular problem with animals being killed. I wish it was done as quickly and painlessly as possible. I have stopped eating veal for that reason.

108. Have you ever lost someone close to you?

Yes, too many. However that's life, none of us are getting out alive.

109. What do you think of cloning?

What an oddly phrased question. I believe cloning exists. I don't have any particular problem with it. As far as using cloning for reproduction, it wouldn't be what I would do. If we can figure out how to clone specific organs for replacement I'm all for that. I feel less enthusiastic about whole body clones being grown for spare parts. I don't have any problems with cloning of animals.

110. Do you read or watch TV more often?

Watch TV, although I'm trying to set things up so I can read more often.

111. With all this talk of terrorism going around are you willing to sacrifice rights and freedoms for increased safety?

No, because you don't get one by giving up the other. You get an illusion of safety.

112. What is the punishment you would come up with for Osama Bin Laden if you caught him alive?

If he is found guilty of a crime or crimes, he should get whatever penalties are judged appropriate for the crime through our process of laws.

113. Have you ever named an individual part of your body?

No I haven't.

114. Have you ever been on the radio or on TV?

Yes, several times.

115. Have you ever won a lottery, or sweepstakes?

Nope.

116. Have you ever won a contest or competition?

Yes, I just recently won a DVD of Dr. Strangelove, four tickets to a movie and pizza by naming four movies directed by Stanley Kubrick.

117. Do you like to watch The Joy of Painting show with Bob Ross (check out this link if you don't know who he is. Also please note me if you notice the link is broken) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Ross_(painter)?

I don't think I watched more than a couple of minutes of his show as I was flipping channels.

118. Do you know what your grandparents and your great grand parents did for a living?

My maternal grandfather was a tool and die maker. My maternal grandmother worked at home. My Dad's father was a miner for a little while, but I think he was mainly a postal worker. I've been told that he delivered mail to the UC Berkeley campus my alma mater. My grandmother retired from factory work making boxes I think. At some point in time she worked in the restaurant business. That's about as far back as I go I have no earthly idea what my great grandparents did.

119. Is there anything really interesting in your family history?
