Because [personal profile] serenejournal wants me to

Another

1) Some weird hippie Indian Shaman freaky Graham Greene looking dood emerges from the forest and bestows upon you a familiar, totem animal, animal sidekick or [Insert Term Here], to emulate you and do your evil bidding. Which would it be? Why?

A leopard, a creature thought to be affiliated with Xango.

2) Which technological breakthrough predicted for the year 2000 that didn't happen did you most want to see: A)Flying Cars, B)Wrist Videophones, C)Houses on the Moon or D) Champagne piped into your living room?

I'm very tempted by the flying cars, but I'd have to say; C) Houses on the Moon. I'm a space nut!

3) Describe your first computer system; and your first Internet experience.

My first computer was an Apple IIe. I was heavily involved with Fido-net before getting a dial-up at netcom in the late 80's, early 90's.

4) A Fairy of Impractical Wishes grants you your not-so-fondest wish: The classic Arcade game of your choice in your living room, complete with an endless supply of tokens. Which one would it be? Why?

I have fond memories of a Charlie's Angel pinball machine in my college cafeteria.

5) Said Fairy, on his way out the door after raiding your fridge and drinking out of the carton, offhandedly grants you the ability to bring back one TV show that has been cancelled. Which one? Why?

Sports Night, or Buffy, or Dark Angel, or Firefly or Ironside!? ;-)

Oooh!

To be fair it wasn't because of Charlie's Angels that I liked the pinball machine. It just seems built for my particular level of strength at the time. It was low enough so that I could see. The game was shallow enough that I could actually get my knees under the game so I could get close enough. The left paddle was easier to hit than the right paddle. Which coincided with my left hand being weaker than my right hand. The game seemed built for me. I spent entirely too much money on that game!

Of course I could've really dated myself by saying Pong. In the same cafeteria there was a table version of it that I played quite a bit as well.
