Happy Anniverary, Star Trek!

Today 37 years ago, Star Trek began to warp a young impressionable 8 year old's mind. Thank you Gene!

So to celebrate, you propose sending alt.polycon boldly where it hasn't gone before. ;-)

Uh, yeah that's right!

And I had always believed it premiered on my birthday. Hm.

*smooch*

I used to have a brass medallion with the date that Star Trek premiered September 8th, 1966. The new television season used to start earlier. There also used to be more episodes.

*nod* Now, I know for *sure* that Buck Rogers premiered on my birthday, because I kept the poster for a long time because of it. :-)

I've no idea about Buck Rodgers. Not one of my shows. *smooch*

Yeah, all those episodes are burned into my brain.

Star Trek evened out the sexual balance of fandom, and I've made a bunch of money copy-editing ST, and there is still much to be said for the Great Bird's peace & freedom/tits & ass vision.
