You'd think I'd know better

Why do I only get responses from my not-completely-thought-out posts? And a why do I let the responses bother me so much? *sigh*

And I was no help, today, either. Sorry, love.

(For what it's worth, my off-the-cuff snarks get a lot more response than my long posts, too.)

Sure you were. Talking to you always makes my day better.

I'm so glad. I always feel better after talking to you, too.

Join the club.

FWIW it's taken me a good while to view certain tarbabies as things I just don't needto bother with. It took my endocrine system longer to read the memos, but it finally has.

Don't be too hard on yourself.

I just can't figure out how it gets under my skin so quickly. I know better. Thanks!

One of his tactics is to say that he is behaving only as you are, when this is not the case.

I've managed to find him strangely silent when I go back and add in the text he cuts out.

I realize this isn't worth your time, effort, or blood pressure to do so. Just wanted to point out that I've been there, done that, and stopped worrying about the t-shirt. :-)

Hm, did I miss something?

The mysterious ways of LJ are indeed perplexing, and you're not the only one who complains that the off-the-cuff posts generate the most traffic. I still have no idea which posts of mine are going to get picked up and which aren't. I try not to let it bug me, but sometimes it's hard.

It now makes sense. My sympathies. I don't read the newsgroup anymore.

Geez.

I don't read that newsgroup anymore etiher.

But I have almost enough context to possibly figure out who's being referenced.

That's kinda scary.

I was mostly expressing frustration. I didn't want to get into personalities, but I'll bet you could guess.

because posts that are completely thought out provide fewer hooks for other people to attach their own thoughts; i think that's pretty much a given. what is it that you do expect from replies to those posts instead?

as to why it bothers you, no idea, of course, *heh*, since i am not you. is it a particular type of response that bothers you? or do they all have that effect?

Fair enough. :-/
