A rough beginning of the year for me. Nothing disastrous as usual but not exactly pleasant. Felt a bit ill for some of it and spent a few days recovering. I have my next dose of Spinraza this Friday. This is the first regular dose after the loading doses. It's been 4 months since my last shot and I find that I'm a little more nervous than I was. In preparation, I need to have a blood test and I have needed to get a blood draw for my yearly physical. I managed to get them done today. The only problem was I needed to fast for one of the tests and because of scheduling etc. I didn't really get coffee or food until about 5 o'clock today. However I did get one of my favorite dinners-breakfast for dinner. Had an omelette with some sausage and coffee.

Saw my therapist and reminisced about my mother. Feeling particularly disconnected from family, both blood and chosen. It will be okay. It's really no one's fault but my own. I hope everyone is surviving. I can't really hope for more given the current bonehead and chief.

Sorry that things have been rough! I've been anxious too about the world political climate.

This morning we woke up to no heat! Mike just left with the furnace blower motor. Two very cool things: we have the money to fix whatever's wrong, and Mike called it, so I get to be with him today. But in the meantime, it's 47°F in here. Brrrr.

Very cool on both counts (pun unintended but I'm pleased about anyway) Mike's diagnosis and you getting to hang out. When I lived in Illinois, I have distinct memories of running around in shirtsleeves with 40° to 50° temperatures. Now, I don't think I'd be able to do that. I've become a real lightweight in regards to cold-weather.

The world political climate is beyond my ability to affect, so I mostly push my anxiety about it into a box that I don't open.

I'm trying to post more, for that very reason. Part of the issue is my mother's death and how that affects my connection with my brother and sisters etc.

Oh, I don't think I'd heard that your mother died. I'm so very sorry for your loss.

Thank you. It wasn't unexpected, but it's still a difficult adjustment for me. No parents anymore.

I like breakfast for dinner too. And leftover dinner for breakfast (especially spaghetti).

It's been a while, but I used to enjoy pizza for breakfast. I don't often have pizza left over these days, so I haven't done it in a long time.

I love spaghetti (or lasagna) the second or third time around. It's one of those foods that's better after being reheated a couple times.
