Television meme day 23
Nov. 10th, 2010 10:31 pmThis television meme was snagged from
autographedcat by way of
serenejournal. The idea is to answer one question a day from the list below. (Yes, yes I'm way behind. Never mind the applicability of the day numbers. I'm just keeping the numbering because I'm anal that way. I'm slow at this but I'm still having fun answering them when I can, so moving right along :-) Today's is:
Day 23 - Most annoying character.
I must confess I'm one of the many who never much cared for young Wesley Crusher. No reflection Mr. Wheaton's performance. I thought he did a fine job, considering position he was supposed to play. I just never cared for the whole concept of a boy genius on the bridge. However my annoyance never got even close to thinking of him as the most annoying character. Deanna Troi (affectionately nicknamed "Betamax") certainly got close, especially in the first season. Eventually the show's producers figured out how to handle her a little better but her repeating what had already been established or stating the obvious annoyed me.
Although I didn't watch much Babylon 5 much part of what stopped me was Londo Mollari. I never bought his accent especially since no one else of his race seemed to have an accent even close to his. I won't talk about the Bozo the Clown haircut. Anyway he is certainly in the running. Let's not forget Twiki from Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. Anyway those are a few that come to mind.
( Here's the questions. )
