Diablo II is, of course, the sequel to Diablo. In its basic version it has 5 character classes, versus Diablo's 3, a stash chest, so you don't have to carry everything you own all the time or drop it in the village and risk another player taking your stuff in a multiplayer game, or losing it in a computer crash, it gives you the option of running, rather than having to walk everywhere,(which can be frustrating when you're just backtracking or walking through the village), money doesn't take up space in your inventory, as it does in Diablo, and pressing "control" lights up any items lying on the ground, which is not available in Diablo. Let me tell you, trying to find a ring that's aout 5 pixels wide on a textured floor is a bitch without that ability. There are also gems which fit into socketed weapons and armor, allowing you to custom craft items with magical attributes. You can form parties with other players, which allows you to share class specific buffs when you're all in range, and see where other players are on the automap. The Necromancer character can raise skeletons and a clay golem to fight for him. He can get quite a posse going, which can have the unfortunate side effect of creating lag from time to time.

"Lord of Destruction" is the title of the expansion for Diablo II. It provides 2 new character classes (druid and assasin), more storage space in the stash chest and more and different things for setting in socketed items. The Druid can summon wolves, ravens, vines, and spirits which will variously fight for, buff, or heal you. Posse time again. : )

The game can be played strictly by mouse, but the hot keys do make it a lot easier, especially the control-lighting-up-items thing. Oh, and right-clicking is required for casting spells or using an off-hand weapon. Not so good for you, unfortunately.
