I'm recovering a little from yesterday.

I BARTed into Berkeley to see [personal profile] serenejournal and [profile] wtfpotatoes. [personal profile] serenejournal was still a bit sick. So no smooching. [profile] wtfpotatoes has changed so much since last I saw her. She seemed a little more reserved than last time we saw each other. Which could've been explained by looking forward to a flight home or shyness or a little maturity. She still acts pretty much like the last time I saw her. Just the littlest bit more quiet.

We basically hit a few bookstores on Shattuck. I bought at least one book I already own, but that happens to me. Grabbed a Dick Francis novel that I didn't think [personal profile] loracs had read. We went to lunch at a Tibetan restaurant near University that none of us had been to before. I ate what [personal profile] serenejournal told me is the national meal of Great Britain. What's it called again, [personal profile] serenejournal? Which I just love! We all enjoyed the restaurant very much, I think.

Then we walked a little more, dropped off a library book, and I grabbed a latte from Peete's. We took a look in Pegasus Books to see if there was some Manga of interest to [profile] wtfpotatoes, but we had no such luck. It got to be around time for [profile] wtfpotatoes's flight. So we said our goodbyes and I went to Carol's work to get a ride home. It's about a mile and half from my house to the San Leandro BART. I just didn't think I could walk all the way home.

It was awfully nice to see [profile] wtfpotatoes. I think I bored her to tears. Not exactly sure how to converse with young female geeks. I should probably work on that. Had a wonderful, if tiring Monday.

The restaurant is a Nepalese place called Mount Everest, and the food was Chicken Tikka Masala. YUMMY sauce! I had a great time, sweetie. *smooch*

Huh, I thought I saw the word Tibet on the sign somewhere. Ah well, it was terrific sauce!

Probably because we kept talking about it in comparison to Cafe Tibet.

Now I gotta learn to make the stuff. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/chicken-tikka-masala/detail.aspx
