Date: 2003-07-10 11:30 pm (UTC)I have to say that about most David Lynch films - I always see them, and afterwards I always ask myself "Why did I watch that?"
Eraserhead, though, is in a class of its own on the squick-o-meter...

Date: 2003-07-11 11:22 am (UTC)Lynch films leave me feeling as if I'm *expected* to like them, because so many hip, smart people do, and maybe I'm just too mundane to get it.
Oddly, I adored Twin Peaks, once I figured out that understanding what was going on was both impossible and beside the point ...

Date: 2003-07-11 11:38 am (UTC)I did love Twin Peaks. It's still my favorite Lynch project. Partly because it was so completely different from anything I'd ever seen on TV. I also found it perversely erotic. Come to think of it, I find most of Lynch's work (at least the stuff I like) perversely erotic.
