Fogcon 2 is coming

I haven't talked about it much , but Fogcon is just around the corner. I've taken care of most of my responsibilities related to the convention. Being in charge of Publications, I just sent out the last Progress Report for FogCon 2. Now all I have to do is pick up the Program Books from the printer and get them to the registration packet stuffers sometime this week or early next. After that my responsibilities are being on 3 panels and a shift on the safety team for the convention. So right now my best guess at where I'm going to be at the convention is as follows:
Friday,
1:30 to 2:45pm 75-Minute Writing Workout. I don't think I will actually be able to do the exercises, but I can probably use them later by myself.
3:00 to 4:15 Outlaw Bodies Roundtable. There is a possibility I will go to Apple Pie, Rayguns, and Galactic Overlords instead.
4:30 to 5:45 Genre Balkanization
8:00 to 9:45 This was a tossup between FOGcon vid show and ConTention I am pretty much a media slut so the vid show would be a natural, but I heard such good things about last year's ConTention, I may take a look.
9:30 to 10:45 (if I'm still up and around) Mars Wants Our Genitals (don't tell her, but I have a little bit of a crush on Mary Anne Mohanraj, one of the panelists).
Saturday
9:00-10:15 am What I Reread and Why. There is almost no chance that I will be up that early, but in the mythical world where I would be up and ready to see a panel, this one is right up my alley.
10:30-11:45 Who Are You? (This is a completely appropriate title, but it is impossible for me to read it and not think of The Who. Maybe it's my age?) When the convention theme was announced for this year, this is the panel that I immediately thought of having. I'm sure others suggested similar panels, but I think of this one as mine. I'm one of the panelists, so I will definitely be at this one.
1:30-2:45 pm Nalo Hopkinson Honored Guest Presentation
3:00-4:15 Look, Mom, I’m a Unicorn! I'm on this panel, so I will definitely be there but I'm bummed I won't be able to attend, Occupy SF/F
4:30-5:45 Shelley Jackson Sends Her Skin
8:00-9:15 Body Image 201
9:30-10:45 Maybe Karaoke, maybe the readings or maybe nothing.
Sunday
9:00-10:15 am Loving Something Problematic In the alternate world where I am up and functioning at 9:00am, I would dearly love to see this panel. Being a huge Heinlein fan and being completely cognizant of all of his shortcomings I still wish I could talk about him and not feel yucky about it.
10:30-11:45 I really have no idea. Except perhaps for the Anthology Pitch-a-Thon which isn't my thing, I'd love to see all of the panels in this timeslot. I guess I will have to wait and see what kind of mood I'm in
1:30-2:45 pm Mutations, Their Gifts and Their Betrayals: Embodiment in the World(s) of the X-Men. Although it's a close call with Bodies on the Line.
3:00-4:15 Post Mortem being on the Concom means I need to be at this one. Be gentle with me. :-)
None of this is carved in stone except the panels I am on, I will be there for all of those. I tend to have grand plans and end up wandering the huckster room. Hope to see you all there or at least a few of you!
