I would like to rewrite it, but knowing me especially right now, who knows when that will happen? :-) If you think it would be useful, feel free to link to this comment. I'm not sure how you would do this but if you could make it clear that this is not a fully formed essay, just some thoughts on the fly, that would be great too.
