BASIC STATS:
NaNo ID: guywt
NaNo since: Now?

Working title: Dream a Little Dream.
WIP Genre: Porn
Projected word count: 50,000

AT THE START: DO YOU...
Have an Outline? Not really
Scene-by-scene? No.
Know how it starts? Yes.
Know how it ends? That would be telling :-) Yes, I do.
Have your climax in order? What kind of porn would I be writing, if I didn't have that in order?
Know your main characters yet? Oh, yes.
Have a particular tone in mind? I'm hoping it will be hot in a darkly ironic sorta way.
Plan to Draw on your own experiences? Well, my rich fantasy experience.

IS YOUR WORK GOING TO BE:
Funny? Hopefully.
Serious? Yes.
Sad? Yes.
Semi-Autobiographical? Only in the most idealized sense.
Influenced by any authors/current publications? I'm sure it will be. I've no idea who or which.

HOW HAVE MUCH YOU PLANNED? HAVE YOU USED:
A paper journal? Paper? No. A journal? Livejournal.
Pens? Can't write with pens anymore. I miss them.
Multicolored pens? Nope.
A computer? Thank goodness for the silicon tit.
Index cards? No.
Lists? Some.
Bulleted lists? No.
Plot Charts? No.
Character Charts? No.
Character formulas? What?
Favorite writing resource: The web, man!
A line you would like to use: If I wasn't sure I was dreaming, that tall guy with the machete would worry me.
A scene you would like to include: A scary scene with a vampire chasing someone that turns into an erotic thing.
A concept you would like to explore: How shifting our perception of an experience changes the experience.
A cliche you would like to avoid: Saving the helpless woman.
A character you would like to use: I've got a pretty emotionally shut down man. Whose actions are completely self-serving, but eventually help others and help him reconnect with their emotional/physical needs.

FORWARD THINKING
Do you expect to be able to complete it? I think I will. I certainly plan to finish it.
Do you intend to complete it? Absolutely.
Would you ever try to publish it? Sure, why not?
What do you expect to get out of this month of frantic writing? 50,000 words of something.

Gaah. I'm doing Nanowrimo, but all this preplanning exhausts me just looking at it.

No criticism intended or implied. Just expressing my personal methodology. :-)

My preplanning so far has been an afternoon of thinking about what I could write in a month and coming up with answers for the questions above. I'm trying hard not to make it important. I just want 50,000 words written by me that run together in some reasonable fashion to communicate a few ideas rolling around in my head. If it turns into an actual story more the better.

The questionnaire intimidated me because I'm not doing ANY pre-planning, outside of having an idea about who my main character is, but I definitely plan to finish, and having you doing it, too, will help a lot. *kisses*
