How I spent my "Valentine's Day"

stonebenderCarol and I celebrated mostly on the thirteenth. Carol and her other sweetie, Betty, spent Valentine's Day together. Friday's tend to be the day that Carol and I spend together. She works Monday through Thursday and has a dance class on Saturday. So Friday seems to work out for us most weeks. We didn't have any plans. Early afternoon, we went to find a place to eat and happened upon a French/Vietnamese restaurant in a strip mall in Castro Valley. She had a marvelous seafood crepe. I got a very tasty spinach quiche with clam chowder. We decided to see what was playing at the nearby Bayfair multiplex. Since we didn't particularly feel like waiting, we bought tickets to the next movie which turned out to be 50 First Dates with Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler Which we both ended up enjoying, with some serious reservations.
After the movie, I had a $50.00 Kmart gift certificate I had earned from My Points burning a hole in my pocket. So we went to spend it. There was a raffle at the store for a gold chain. I'm really not much for gold chains and am certainly not much for Kmart jewelry, so guess who won a gold chain at the raffle? *shrug* My mother will like it. I used my gift certificate to buy the second season of Alias on DVD. I was tired, so we went home. Carol wanted dinner so she went with Betty for Chinese food. I spent their dinner time trying to reinstall Internet Explorer on my machine (not an exercise I recommend anyone doing). I think I've done some permanent damage to the machine, although it still works after a fashion. Weird things still happen every now and then.
I know I talked toserenejournal on the phone. I'm just not sure when. I spent several times during the day missing her and wishing I could have her head on my chest.
