I'm slowly chipping away at my 15 minutes. One of the larger projects I've been working on for quite a few years is about to be finished this year. Here is an article I got interviewed about it recently.
You have always been famous in my universe. And I have always been proud of you and your contributions to the disability community. This is a very nice article and I think your quotes really adds a contemporary voice to it. Good going, sweetie.
That is a *great* article -- there's tons of interesting stuff in there, not a little of which is your contribution. I passed the link on to the disability discussion list up at school; I think it will be exciting reading for lots of people up there, too.
And I can't *wait* to see the ERC once it's actually open. The picture and description in the article of that ramp you're building made me want to swoon -- the whole idea of a place where I don't worry about people thinking it's weird if I take a ramp instead of the stairs (the latter being worse for my knees, but usually what's "expected" of me).
So, like, you're totally my hero today. Seriously, let me be one of the gazillion people to say: THANK YOU for all your hard work on this project -- it's really, really awesome.
Thank you that means a great deal. Eventually, there's supposed to be a coffee shop at the ERC, so if you ever get up here to visit the place, the coffee or tea is on me.
I am happy every time I walk past the construction site, which is twice a day most days. I pointed it out to elisem yesterday morning and told her about your role in it, and she was impressed.
