I *love* that song. :-)

It's one of those songs that could've been in the make me cry category. (Of course "Little Drummer Boy" could've been in the hate to admit category as well). It's *such* a sappy song, but I like it anyway.

Yes!

"One of Us", Joan Osborne

Yikes. ;-)

Yikes?

"Hideout", Sarah Harmer

*happysigh* I love you.

I love you too, Princess! I think "Hideout" could be our song.

"If I Had A Boat", Lyle Lovett

LOVE this song

It's such a sweet, silly song. :-)

P.S. You didn't like any of my sexy songs, eh?

I *love* "At Last" -- in fact, that and "Sunday Kind of Love" are my favorites of hers.

(I didn't see this at first because you replied to yourself and not to me, but since I'm an obsessive stalker, I eventually see all replies in your journal. ;-)

Well that was stupid of me! I had wondered why you hadn't replied, there are benefits to being in love with a stalker chick! :-)

I'm not a stalker in general, just for you you you. Don't you feel special?

I'm going with Usenet-type attributions for this one. The html tags are too cumbersome:

>>>"Where've You Been," Kathy Mattea
>>I *love* that song. :-)
>It's one of those songs that could've been in the make me cry category.
>(Of course "Little Drummer Boy" could've been in the hate to admit
>category as well). It's *such* a sappy song, but I like it anyway.

*grin* It is sappy, true, but I confess to crying at Kodak commercials.

>>>"One of Us", Joan Osborne
>>Yikes. ;-)
>Yikes?

Um, I am not a big fan of that song. :-)

>>>"Hideout", Sarah Harmer
>>*happysigh* I love you.
>I love you too, Princess! I think "Hideout" could be our song.

I think you're right. Cool. We have a song. :-)

>>>"If I Had A Boat", Lyle Lovett
>>LOVE this song
>It's such a sweet, silly song. :-)

*smile* Yep.

You knew I was going to ask. What don't you like about "One of Us"?

It's cutesy. It's got what I feel are pedestrian lyrics. It's got a couple of lines that actively annoy me, chiefly "'cept for the Pope maybe in Rome".

You asked. :-)

*smooch*

What! We disagree!? I want a divorce! Wait a minute, that won't work. :-) I guess we're stuck with each other. :-) I really like the song because the messes with the idea of God suggests that we might be able to let ourselves off the hook once awhile. If that makes any sense. It's OK if you don't like it.

Well, it does get stuck in my head sometimes, and I don't *hate* it or anything. ;-)

*smooch* I'm so glad we don't have to get a divorce over it, though. :-)

Heh. Yeah, 'cause if you don't smooch me now, I might run out! :-)
