Everyone I know seems to be at BayCon or WisCon this weekend. It's a problem when most of your friends are sci-fi fans. Carol is off to dance class. [profile] serenjournal went to a Renaissance faire thing or something similar. A Society for Creative Anachronism thing with [personal profile] someotherguy and [profile] sogwife. So, I'm not going to get much chat/email time with her today. I'm on my own.

I probably should be working on a contribution to a local zine that I am a part of, but that doesn't sound to appealing right now. Perhaps later today I'll do some work.

I'm a little embarrassed/depressed about posting the quiz I got from [personal profile] nolly earlier this week. I'm don't think people around here know me well enough to feel comfortable answering most of the questions. So they very sensibly don't respond. Which I can't help interpreting in the back of my brain, where the little Negative Guy lives, as a reflection of how few friends I have. I know this is not reality, but the Negative Guy is whispering in my ear.

On the completely frivolous front: Comcast (my newly acquired cable television provider) has rearranged all of my stations. So I have to relearn where the hell WB is again. I was just getting used to NBC being on 13! I also used to be able to get Showtime and HBO. Now I am told I need digital cable in order to get any premium channels. Digital cable requires converter boxes and I hate those boxes! Personally I think the whole thing is a plot so we have to pay extra for every television we have connected to cable. Like they used to do before it was made illegal.

Did anybody else like Odyssey 5? I will miss that show, no Sopranos, Real Sex and no more Six Feet Under! Grrr!

No more Six Feet Under - oh, noooo!!! Can someone tape it for you?

I don't have cable, but a friend tapes SFU and every few weeks I glut myself on it. It's the first series I've cared enough to watch since Babylon 5...

In the meantime, have you seen the program's Web site? (http://www.hbo.com/sixfeetunder/) It's very Flash-heavy, but Flash is the right medium for the stuff they're trying to do. I amuse myself there between tapes ...

Oh I'm sure there must be someone. I haven't really checked around yet. I hadn't checked their website. Thanks for the suggestion.
