[profile] leback asked me to speak at her school symposium a couple of months ago. I was very complemented and how can you say no to her anyway? I didn't think much about it until a couple of weeks ago. When she sent me a reminder note. I'm speaking on a panel called Late-Term Abortion and Disability Rights. I plan to just talk about the history of independent living and how it might frame the discussion. I haven't really spoke in front of a group of people since I was the president of the Board at CIL. Right now I'm in my usual, "What the hell did I get myself into?" headspace. Wish me luck.

I loved doing that Potlatch thing. I wish I could figure out more ways I could perform. I love acting, but I'm not built for auditions and the pummeling one's self-image takes getting work as an actor. We missed you at the performance. I was really enjoying the stuff you were doing in rehearsal. I only have notes from what I talked about at the symposium, but I'll try to write something up in live journal. There were a couple issues I didn't manage to touch on that I think I'd like to write about here.
