I'm not doing so well on the NaNoWriMo novel. I got pretty close to 2000 words on my first day. I haven't written an additional word since. I'm trying to concentrate on not kicking myself too much about it. I'll give up if I do. However, I have been posting a lot (for me) on alt.poly and sfbay-poly. Which I guess is a good thing.

I'm not sure what I'm doing with this Livejournal these days. Any suggestions? Anything anybody want to ask me? Anything anybody wants to never hear about again?

One of the few things I worry about with NaNoWriMo is the potential for disappointment/self-kickitude. Remember that it's supposed to be fun! And if it's not, don't do it.

Except for a few short-lived jobs here and there, I've never really worked for pay. I think that I often put my volunteer work and some of my recreational activities into the "job" box in my head. I wonder if I put too much pressure on myself to complete my job, thus squeezing any entertainment value out of activities that are supposed to be fun? I need to think about that some.
