I meet [personal profile] serenejournal's mother this weekend and munchkin the younger. They drove up from San Diego. I ate her mothers chopped liver (made by serene). As part of the process I got to nibble on Smaltz (sp?) A heavenly mixture of fried chicken fat and onions. Oh, and the finished chopped liver was wonderful as well. Yum! The munchkin was on her best behavior. Very sweet. Gilly and her got along famously. They really should rent out the munchkins as dog toys. I have seldom seen Gilly so happy and wore out. Very much enjoyed talking to my in-law. As long as we avoid politics, we will get along great. Today, they came over again. This time [personal profile] serenejournal and munchkin the younger took a ride on BART. While her mother and I and Carol and Betty got a chance to talk without girl and dog chaos. "Mom", even got me this great book at the Ashby fleamarket. It has pictures of old SF and horror pulp magazine covers. It's truly gorgeous. I just love her and the munchkins. They have all been so very sweet to me. I'm a very lucky man.

Glad U had a good meeting!

What makes you say that?

It could be the lack of tone

one of the bad things of chat U can't hear the tone of voice.
But she apologized for a comment she made to me when it didn't offend me at all. I knew she was kidding.
